After four months of fieldwork and interviews with 60 businesses and investors, the staff of the Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation has completed a Labor and Targeting Analysis that serves as an asset map for looking at our workforce and building programs to develop our workforce further. The document is not a plan but rather an update on business conditions in the county from the Angelou Report of 2012.
It is intended to serve as a useful tool in your business from which you can pull key information, especially on labor force and housing issues. The report also helps us develop an implementation plan that coincides with our original program.
The report concludes with another look at target industry –the types of industry sectors that we can attempt to attract to the Manhattan-Pottawatomie County area, as well as some recommendations that should be part of the implementation plan.
