Executive Director – Shanna Goodman

Shanna-Goodman

Shanna Goodman is a multifaceted professional—an author, certified business coach, and community leader. With over 18 years of experience spearheading successful business development endeavors for small businesses, nonprofits, and community service agencies, she is deeply committed to fostering community collaboration and strategic partnerships.

Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, Shanna learned the ropes of small business management early on. She earned her stripes with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and human behavior from Kansas State University, followed by a master’s degree in communications from the University of Central Missouri. Fueled by her love for entrepreneurship and dreaming big, she launched her own marketing strategy agency in 2015, focusing on helping service-based small businesses thrive.

Shanna’s also known for her “Marketing Made Simple” series of books and workbooks (Pro Organizer Marketing Made Simple, Cleaning Business Marketing Made Simple, and Home Pros Marketing Made Simple) and her popular podcast Home Pros Marketing Made Simple. Through one-on-one coaching, strategy sessions, and digital resources, she’s helped countless small business owners grow. Her insights have been featured in top-tier publications like Business Insider, Forbes, Create & Cultivate, and Fit Small Business.

Hailing from a long line of entrepreneurs in Ford County (fourth generation ranchers, in fact), Shanna’s Kansas roots run deep. After starting college at Kansas State University two days out of high school, she graduated with honors in just three years. Eventually, she and her family settled back in the Manhattan area, finding their home in the tight-knit community of Wamego.

Now serving as the Executive Director of Pottawatomie County Economic Development, Shanna channels her expertise in business development and strategic partnership collaboration to enhance the existing framework laid by talented colleagues and predecessors, board members, and community partners.
