Flint Hills Ventures, LLC broke ground today for their speculative warehouse project on the east side of Manhattan, Kansas. Co-owners Blake Bauer and Patrick Schutter addressed the group attending the ceremony at 1201 Kretschmer Drive, thanking various stakeholders and community supporters. They told the crowd that the building will have more than 32 foot high clearance throughout and will be built with 10 truck docks, four drive-through doors and will have the ability to customize based on the tenants’ needs.
Construction for the 112,650 square foot facility is expected to be completed in December of this year. The General Contractor on the project is BHS Construction with Spangenberg Philips Tice Architecture and SMH Consultants.
News outlet KCLY 100.9 described the project as “designed to meet the evolving needs of modern warehousing, the speculative warehouse project promises to set a new standard for industrial spaces in the region.”
