Solar Turbines To Take Over Wamego Caterpillar Facility

By: The Pottawatomie County Economic Development Corporation (PCEDC) | 5.21.25

This afternoon, we had a productive conversation with the Caterpillar Real Estate team, who confirmed that Solar Turbines—a  wholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar—will be taking over the Wamego facility.

We’re pleased to share that they said all current employees will be retained through the transition and will continue their roles under Solar Turbines.

We’re excited to welcome Solar Turbines to the Wamego community.

At this time media inquiries or direct requests for Caterpillar or Solar Turbines should be directed to Lisa at [email protected]
