Meet Your Candidates: General Election November 5th

General Election to Include State Senate, State House, County Commissioner, and County Attorney

PCEDC and Wamego Chamber of Commerce will co-host a final candidate forum this fall, in preparation for the General Election taking place on Tuesday, November 5th. The forum will be at the Wamego Senior Center on October 8th from 6-7:30pm. 

At the upcoming forum, moderator Corey Reeves will ask a series of pre-determined questions to candidates as well as questions submitted by the audience. Candidates are invited to share written responses with us to publish. Click on their name to access their responses.

Voters will see only the candidates on their ballots for the district in which they reside. Search your address on  this interactive map to find your district.

Kansas House Representative District 51 Candidates:

Kansas Senate Representative District 18 Candidates:

• Matt Robin (D) and Kenny Titus (R)

Kansas House Representative District 61 Candidates:

• Francis Awerkamp (R) and Robert Thomas (L)

Pottawatomie County Commissioner District 4 (St George) Candidates: 

• Judd McCormack (I), Amanda Worden (I),  and Gary Yenzer (R) 

Pottawatomie County is moving from three County Commissioner positions to five in November. August 6th primary winners included: Terry Force (District 5: Westmoreland and Onaga), Bill Drew (District 3: St Marys), and Merl Page (District 2: Wamego). Take a look at the new 5-member District map.
