Pottawatomie County 2024 Elections to Include County Commissioners, County Attorney, and Sheriff

Did you know that Pottawatomie County is moving from three County Commissioner positions to five?

This November elections will take place in four of the five districts and all but one district will be determined in the primary election, which will take place on Tuesday, August 6th.

Review the current 3-Member District map.

Take a look at the new 5-member District map.

Partnering with local cities and chambers, we co-hosted series of County Candidate Forums in every electing district this summer where all candidates were invited to share their vision for Pottawatomie County.  Each forum was well attended by the community with a total attendance of 372 people.  We co-hosted two events in District 5 (in Westmoreland and Onaga) to make the forums accessible since the area is so large.

County Candidate Forum Event Attendance
  • District 2 (Wamego): 93 people
  • District 3 (St Marys): 73 people
  • District 4 (St George): 60 people
  • District 5 (Westmoreland): 72 people
  • District 5 (Onaga): 74 people

At each forum, moderator Corey Reeves asked a series of pre-determined questions to candidates as well as questions submitted by the audience. Candidates were invited to share written responses with us to publish. Click on their name to access their responses.
