**If you own an LLC, S Corp, or C Corp, you need to file a BOI report by 12/31/24.**In 2021 The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) was enacted and became Federal law. The legislation is aimed at preventing financial crimes, such as money laundering. However, its impact on reporting requirements is widespread and does apply to you if you own or co-own a corporation (S corp or C corp) or LLC. The law requires Federal reporting of Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) for otherwise state-registered entities.
